FAQs

Q: How long are sessions?
A: A typical therapy session is 55 minutes.

Q: How long will I be in therapy for?
A: There is no one-size-fits-all for duration of time in therapy. Your therapy may look more short-term or long-term depending on your needs. Because this is your therapy, you are the one who gets to decide this. We will check in periodically to see what feels right for you.

Q: What can I expect from the first session?
A: During the first session, I will ask you what you would like to work on, your hopes and goals for therapy, and any other information you feel is important to let me know before we continue working together. You will also get to know more about me and my practice as well.

Q: Is there a fee for canceling my appointment on the same day?
A: Yes. I charge a $70 fee for canceling an appointment with less than 24-hours notice.

Q: What if I don’t want to continue in therapy with you?
A: I believe goodness-of-fit is extremely important in any therapeutic work. You may make the decision that you would prefer to work with someone else. I see this as an opportunity for us to discuss what you are not getting out of your therapy, how I may make changes to my approach, and, if desired, I am happy to provide referrals to other therapists.
